Newbie from South Yorkshire.

Post by Heinz Scharf »

Hi,
Just come across this site as I have just started in this new hobby of RC Tanks and what a site. I'm ex Forces (Army) Army Air Corp for some 22 years. Now living in Barnsley moved up from Kettering to be closer to my Daughter and Grand Daughter. I have two tanks a HL Tiger 1 and a HL JAGDPanther both custom painted. and oh what fun I am having, mind you the cats don't like them. Here are some shots of my two little monsters. Regards Heinz

Hi,
Already googled mapped the club and will plan to come over shortly. I have a new commander coming for the Tiger, plus some other bits IE another aerial with penant for the JAGDPanther. Both have metal tracks plus metal gears. I have disabled the smoke on both as that just does not do it for me. I might put back on once I can find a PROPORTIONAL smoke unit, which at the moment can't find. I am also replacing the four air induction pipes which will be fitted with black nylon expandable braided sleeving. (picked that up in the "Tips and Tricks" section)

Hallo Heinz, Welcome to this place of fun and learning, I believe the only location for a proportional smoker right now is a german dealer, if you go to the recommended dealers site you should be able to track them down OR wait until either TANKFORCE1 or FORGEBEAR both on E-BAY have them back in stock, both of these dealers along with WELSH DRAGON MODELS come highly recommended not only by me but most members of the forum, please do avoid the blacklisted dealers they are on the list for a good reason. In my Military career I used to fly in and out of Detmold in Alluettes, Beavers and Scouts, aaaah the joys of camping on Sennelager in the Winter!! Enjoy this place and I do hope you will ask lots of questions because the members of the forum love showing off their knowledge. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
