Rx 18 into Maito Sherman

Help guys

Thought I'd try an Rx 18 I have in a spare hulk before buying another. First step was to boot up the hulk which worked fine. So then I took the motor leads from the Sherman and wired them into the rx18 still fitted into the old hulk. Soon as the power comes up the motors start running and don't stop till I shut down the handset. Any ideas?

The trim tabs is the only thing I can think of.

The Rx 18 burnt out about five minutes later so I've another on the way!

ok update. New RX18 in and it works with one minor hiccup. Forward on the direction sticks produces a spin and left and right gives me forwards and back.

What am I doing wrong. Motor plugs are in the correct sockets so Im baffled....?

Sounds like the wires on one motor need swaping round id start with the one that reverses when you push forward

as stug says , when i did mine it went forward in reverse left went right so i swaped round re soldered wires on motors then put left motor in right socket ete ,bobs yer uncle ? never got lights working but thinks you will have front or rear if you persist i never bothered wot wot .
