hi tunisian Tiger,
they a fairly easy to fit, but you would be better off taking everything out of the tank 1st, then drill out where the suspension arm spigots come out, i think 10mm, then offer up the strenghening plates, they are held in by 2 m3 nuts & bolts, mark up on the side of the hull where to drill through, be carefull to drill these holes accurate, once youre happy, drill the holes, then put the strenghening plates in and bolt them in, dont over tighten them or the bolts may pull through the plastic. its worth noting that its best to put the spigots on the plates before you bolt them to the hull, thats about it really, but if you do get in to difficulties let us know and we will do what we can to help

ps these photos might help,

HI guys A tip for you the pins that hold the wheels sometimes need to be shortend by about 2mm to stop them fouling the renforcing plates check before you fit them all I had to remove the lot to shorten ,fit one and check if it looks like it might foul shorten them nothing worse than the wheels sticking up .

another tip for you, the rear idle wheel axles, if you can, fit a metal rod from one side of the idle wheel to the other, if you put the standard axle pins back in, trust me, they will pull out splitting the hole where they push in......ive had this happen, i had to fit the metal track adjusters, but i feel if you fit a axle from one side to the other, you dont really need track adjusters.
i have a scrapper tiger 1 chassis, which i will convert (when ive finished my KT) to have a solid metal rod from idle wheel to idle wheel. My idea is simple, i already have some stainless steel rod the same diameter as the axles, i intend to drill holes in each end, thread them and use to cap screws to hold the wheels on.
regards
Kev

This is good info guys - I'll be doing this myself in a week or 2! Sounds like I'll need to leave the idler pins outside over night before pressing them in - minus 20C should be enough to shrink them to fit

I didnt drill out the spiggot but squeezed it with some long nosed pilers. This crushed the plastic tube enough to let it twist off. I used a smaller drill bit to open the hole and reamed it out with a sanding cone in the dremel. The most shocking bit i found was drilling the whole in the gearbox casing to allow the clearence for the screw head on the first swing arm. Best advice is to take your time and take it easy. You can alway cut more away later, its much harder to replace stuff you didnt want to remove. And get some thread lock, last thing you want after spening all day fitting this is to find a couple of screws working loose and the only way to get to them is to remove all the swing arms on one side.
Thats a good idea about the idlers. I might give that a go as the adjustable idlers i bought wont fit into the hull now I've glued the rear hull plate on.
