Turnigy 9x and Clark Channel mapping

Hi all,

I am being lazy here but does anyone know the channel mapping between the clark board and the turnigy 9x radio ? I want to be able to use the left stick as steering and driving, and the right stick as the multi-function control. I have thought it was a simple swap between ch1/ch2 and ch3/ch4 but it is not the case and it looks like I need a combination (which I will try this evening) but if anyone knows the actual mapping that would be great.

Just guessing but is there a function to switch the radio between mode 1 and 2 to switch to the left stick? I know on Clark website the instructions are setup Tamiya style ie steering left throttle right stick. I set mine up Heng long style so drive is all on right stick. So makes sense only need to switch throttle control to left stick.

I ended up fixing my radio (the initial reason for switching is that my left stick is not quite centered because of the self-centering lever so it is difficult to use as the multi-function stick. I ended up opening up the radio and fixing the centering lever instead so now it is as good as the right one) by I am still interesting in finding out if I can switch the two sticks. I tried swapping the channels at the receiver and I did manage to get the switch, but then the north/south signals get mixed up (i.e. I have to pull down to go forward etc) so I will try to look for the mode 1/2 as per Ian on the Turnigy 9x.

Michael, I know very little about this type of stuff, but even with my cheap CT6B radio, there is a programming setting to set any channel to either (N)ormal, or (R)everse, so if you got the channels to switch where you wanted them, but one channel is just simply backwards in direction than what it should be, I would think you should be able to go into the 9x programming & just program that one particular channel to be the other option, either N or R, than its current setting. That should reverse the direction for that channel & correct the north/south issue.

Thanks Craig and Ian. I did find the Mode switching on the Tunrigy 9x which let's me switch around the 4 main channel electronically (Ele, Rud, Tho and Ali) so I will play with them and get the right set-up.
