I would like to share my build progress on this tiger-1 kit for others to see, other than just keeping it to myself, and welcome ideas from modelers and and learn extra skills..so here i go...
This build is going to represent a Very early Tiger-1 sent to the eastern front in late 1942 belonging to Abt.eilung 502, and tactical number 100 was captured, via german improper management, 3 where recovered.
I dont intend to spend alot of money on metal parts/tracks etc, as the tank "tho RC" wil mainly live life as a static tank in 1/16. Only metal parts are the working headlights, engine mesh grills.
In order to depict this version, MANY changes are needed to back-date Tamiyas kit version.
First major feature , that you dont see on too many 1/16 RC Tiger-1s..is a fully detailed engine bay, including fuel tanks, radiators, cooling system, with smoking exhausts (my own design)..and place the speaker in its turret (it just fits)..

The engine i intend to use is a rare Verlinden 1:15 resin Tiger engine, its a H230 vers, but i have to back-date it to H210 vers, by adding 3 filters..simply using K-parts from Tamiya 1:16 " 56010" kit makes this easier..Also like my other Tigers, im gonna use a system for re-charging the 7.2V packs wihtout removing the dam turret (one design i didnt like with the Tamiya kits) and thus use this on this build.
I've already completed the suspension, wheels, tracks, gearboxes etc, these are boring parts..in future i'll use alot of pics. The tank thus far:
