I need help! Heng Long IR battle system install in my tank....

I bought the RX-18 upgrade package from RC Command, and have been using the instructions at http://rccommand.com/guides/upgrade.php. But it does not say what I do with the cable with eight connectors at one end and a five and two connectors at the other. And I've soldered the three wire cable to my junction in the upper hull and the thin double wire for the IR sender, but it does not say which way the three port plug goes on the "apple". So I looked at Darksith's IR hookup instructions at http://darkith.dyndns.org/~darkith/html/rx18.shtml, and according to his pics and explainations the "apple" cable is wired wrong. I have the RX18 board installed and running properly, now I am trying to install the IR battle system and the cannon flash strobe. But the instructions have holes, and I'd actually like to do this with my original Rx18 board- don't want to fry it!

So, does anyone have a wiring schematic or pics of what plugs to where and what's soldered to what?

I'm not too sure from what you are describing what you have and what you are attempting to connect, and which functions you are hoping to get.

If you can post some close up pics showing cables and connectors I will try and help.
