Tamiya Sprue Tiger 1 parts .... Where to find ?

Post by Wildboar44 »

Hi peoples ....

Can anyone point me in the right direction for Tamiya Sprue suppliers ?

I have searched ebay ect and the net but cant find anyone . I am looking to get hold of a Tiger 1 jack block
and possibly a rear turret Bin .

I have heard of downloading Tamiya part numbers but cant find it on their web site ?

Thanks in anticipation .

You'll need the lid:

Jasons store is really good too. He is in Japan but he is fast returning orders and the postage costs aren't too bad either. I ordered a Tiger sprue from Phoenix Arizona over 2 years ago..........still waiting for it :/ Ordered the same thing from Jasons store it was delivered in 4 days

Glad to hear your joy! It's easy to think metal add-ons are the best way but always worth remembering you can get whole sprues of Tamiya parts for a decent price all in one go...

Your right Ace,

I have tendered to base most of my choices on metal parts, thanks to your build and Red,s , I have realised just how cost
effective ordering a spare Tamiya sprue can be, I ordered two sprue's to replace the turret bin on my HL Tiger 1 , but into
the bargin I also have the following :-

Turret bin & detailed top Plus

Loader hatch details & locking wheel

Pre formed seat base ( will probably be used to locate a crewman torso)

Opening Escape hatch possible ( Opening hatch and circular hatch base plate ) will need scratch build inner hatch detailing

Correct "offset" mantle & base plates ( Hoping to use with a recoil conversion if possible ) ??

Not bad for the cost of a few metal parts !

Thanks Guys
