Hi Kye,
Glad you liked it. Yes, this KT has Clark TK20E T1 coupled to a Benedini TBS mini (set to autostart) to provide the engine sounds. All other sounds are Clark's. I've taken advantage of Clark's channel cancelling (i push the left stick up) to eliminate the throttle (right stick up/down). The engine still revs up, but the tank won't move. The Benedini engine KT sounds is played through a Visaton FRS8-8, whislt Clark's TK20E through a Visaton FRS7.

So it has two speakers? Could just one speaker be used?

Hi Kye,
Yes, a single speaker can be used by hooking up the Benedini to the Clark board amp.
However, I want to have a separate speaker for my Benedini engine sounds as I will be modding the speaker enclosure to serve as air pump to push accumulated smoke out to the exhaust. As such engine revs will now be matched with a puff of smoke.
More on the speed...280 motors and single stage planetary gearing does the trick of scale realistic speed

as well as provide sufficient torque in IR battling (do note this is done on carpet)

Hi, Newbie here.
Your set up is very great. I really want to know more and how to do it. I'm trying to mod my HL Tiger.
I also have the TK22-T1 board.
Could you kindly explain the wiring on how to connect the TBS mini to TK22? And also the RC radio settings. I'm using 9XR radio.
Regards,
hajime

Re: Clark TK20E-Benedini TBS Mini: Clutchin' n Revvin'
Hi Hajime,
thanks. I'm running Clark TK20E-T1 coupled to a Benedini TBS mini for the engine sound. Channel 3 from Clark board goes to TBS mini Prop1, then Prop2 connects to Channel 3 of the Turnigy 9x.
I'm running a separate speaker for the TBS mini, such that once I've tinkered with an acoustic smoker version similar to Strm54's design, I can puff smoke each time I rev the tank...
The older type Clark board has channel cancelling-that is, when Channel 1 is in use (MG/headlamp), Channel 3 (throttle) doesn't work. This in turn affords me to rev all i want.
The Benedini TBS mini also has inherent capability to rev the engine up, via setting up "teaching the sound" the start voltage of the sound. This way, the engine sound could play "revs", just before the motors going in.
cheers,
Rey
