Newbie needs help with Heng Long Tiger

Post by CHARTMAN69 »

Hi chaps, just joined and done the Hello on the 'Introduce yourself forum' need some advice on the HL Tiger, just fitted a new set of crystals and all was working great for 10 mins, then it just started reversing at full speed in circles with only one track spinning, TX had no effect, so even when you just turn the tank on it does this, had battery out, and crystals and still same problem !

Anyone with any idea's or come across this problem ?

Regards

Ian

hi chartman
my guess would be a flat battery
or the trim on the tx needs adjusting.
failing that call ghost busters! :haha:
cheers

oh, have you tried putting the old crystals back in?
so are you saying you start up the tank & it just goes mental with out touching anything?
can you try another battery?
the only time my tanks have been "possesed" is when the batterys low.
i can't see it being the tx batterys but worth a go

btw, why did you change the crystals in the first place?
also, are you using the standard charger?
because its a bit poo & should be binned as soon as!
it will need about 4 hours for a standard 1700mh battery
cheers

Lister, we changed the crystals as the tank had died, it worked Ok for a short while with the new crystals and then went on the rampage....Battery is fully charged and so are the TX ones, now at a loss !

oh, thats me all out of ideas i'm afraid :'(
short of taking it all apart & unplugging everything 1 bit at a time
to try & determine a faulty part, i don't know what to suggest.
that's if it's new enough to have an rx 18, if it's earlier all or some of the parts will be soldered on.
anyone else? feel free to step in & try to help out.
sorry i can't be of more help
