Yes....They are upgrades. Steel gears with metal Tracks and those two Motors....I should be good to go.
I have been told to carefully lube even the tracks ...was that good advise?
Thanks.

I never heard anything about lubing tracks?? I heard this motor is the BEST. You just have to get the plates to fit right.....

Re: Waterson MOTORS
Lube the tracks?? why? only place I lube on my tanks are the Gears. Why? simple - dirt. Grease attracts and holds dirt turning those little particles into well, abrasives.
Even sand and house dust will wear away at stuff eventually and most tanks are not built to tight tolerances to begin with so why give the dirt the chance to stick around.
Motors - the Waltersons are an upgrade, they have more pull than the standard and I also believe they run faster making more torque at the end of your gearbox. The Waltersons motors are a lower cost at upgrading as well in comparison to say a speed 400 or 480 motor.

Thanks Curtis. After reading some other info on the Waterson's today they are definitely
better motors.
Now just to gather up the time to put all this together.

Re: Waterson MOTORS
Well my research shows with the 5 pinion process they are using a higher motor is not needed and you can customize the speed I believe.
The purpose of releasing this gear box set is to offer our consumers with demand specification on a stronger torque and higher durability drivetrain unit over the standard Heng Long unit.
The type 380 motors are specially created for this particular project. Instead of using conventional 3 pole motor, our version of motor has 5 pole winding, and we put a ball bearing to the motor shaft to reduce excess vibration.
The major advantage of using 5 pole motors because it can deliver a much smoother torque characteristics by reducing the angular increments between each pole. Considering average tank enthusiants will install an additional 2-4 Kg of metal upgrade components to their tanks, it becomes vitally importantly that the drivetrain is capable to deliver enough torque even at low motor rpm.
