Tank electronics

Post by mickyb »

Hi Guys, Hope this is of use...possible a discussion may ensue...

I also build boats and have used electronics from a company called Action RC Electronics.

They make a small moulded block containing a mixer and two speed controllers that give single stick FULL proportional speed and steering control to two motors.
it is called: P94 Dual Esc /Mixer Multi controller Unit. Operating voltage 6 to 24 volts. Maximum continuous output per controller is 20 amps. £70.....mmmmmmm.

They make a mixer that can mix up to 4 sound modules  on to one speaker  at up to 6 watts output.
it is called: P97 6 Watt Audio Mixer / Booster Amp. £22.......yummy

You can get sound modules giving engines....cannon....machine gun....ack-ack...... all for large boats.......double yummy

This stuff is waterproof and can be heard across a large lake, so a field is a doddle for it.

These prices must be less than Tamiya...the output is deffinately louder... I know cos I use them.

They have a website: www.action-electronics.co.uk...........I don't have anything to do with them other than being a satisfied customer.

Does anyone have any other ideas cos I will be spending on the electronics for the Chally soon.

Cheers Mike..

Hi Mike you could think about this system from el-mod this the site http://www.el-mod.de/

its not cheap but  will take big motors has full turret control including elevation  barrel recoil lights smoke and sound module is on sd memory card you can load your own from your source or the down load from site also can fit battle system and will run on any 4 channel radio which is better than tamiya the main advantage is you can buy it a bit at time start with motor control then add turret control then sound module then battle unit been thinking of getting one of these for one of my tanks but short on funds at the momment.

Hi Mike,

That P94 certainly looks the business, very interested.
Could you tell me what you are thinking of using for turret rotation and main gun elevation/depression?

Cheers
