Tiger 1 Asiatam metal hull
Guys, ive fitted the above hull all is working well, however I keep throwing the metal tracks. The tracks appear to be very loose when fitted....... My question is how do I adjust the tension with the fitted track tensioner system...... Try as I may I just cant fathom it out, HELP
!!!

Take care...... Gary
Re: Tiger 1 Asiatam metal hull
If it is the one with the brass bar between them no matter how much I tried adjusting didn't make any difference so I ended up removing two track links on both sides.
Hope that helps

Re: Tiger 1 Asiatam metal hull
Hi tisaksen,
I presume you have the standard Asiatam (now Taigen) hull with the built in tack tensioners? If so these are the ones that adjust using a small screw underneath at the back of the hull floor. As you turn the screw one way or another the idler mounts swing either out from or towards the hull.
It takes some time to work out the best position, but bear in mind that the idlers should not stick out too far beyond the rear of the tank.
Whatever brand of track you are using (I assume HL metal?) you can remove a link if they seem too loose - but make sure you have the same number each side.
Also did you install the gears and sprockets yourself? I found when I tried to transplant the HL metal gears and sprockets that my left hand (driver's) side track kept riding over the sprocket - probably because I couldn't anchor the gears into the metal floor pan (the screw holes mostly failed to line up). Eventually I gave up and bought some new Taigen gears and this solved the problem.

Tanks, that's what I have. I will check try adjusting the tensioner again but last time It didn't work (little or no tension)
My tracks are Mato metal I think.
Been months since I worked on any of my tanks, but will try to get the tensioners working soon.
