safe 5.56 shell cases

Post by doc larsson »

Dear all,

I've been offered quite a substantial amount of safe spent 5.56 cartridges. All have been made safe.no bullet, primer defused (so when you make your own shell it's completely safe but looks "live" ). All cartridges were "blank" used ammo. Have been sent them in the post before so i don't think it's illegal. Also I'm not in it for profit but i've been offered 180 and don't need that many but i've got to give the guy aprice. Advice on how much to offer for them all and who needs some ? I've used these on my tanks as "new" shells and spent ones and they look great. A good use for pendelhaus stickers for 88mm shell casings !

let me know guys, I'm gonna get at least 20 for myself.

happy new year.

Hi doc

When you say blank are they the type with a crimped end or a hole where a bullet used to sit before it was fired ?
The crimped type will need modifying but fired ones are great as shell cases.

have a look !

this is too small, but yes they look as if they have been fired except the percussion cap is still intact but no longer live. will get some pics put up tomorrow with un-spent and spent.

The rounds you have there is classed as an inert rounds meaning the primer has been struck there is no powder in side the case and a standard full metal jacket round has been placed back on top. ;)

Andy

these rounds were blanks but the crimped end has been cut off and the contents made inactive. The percussion cap is still intact (meaning the look "un-fired") and the jacket was made by myself from milliput.
