is a S&S HL allways a RX 18 tank? I am ( perhaps)bitting on a couple of Pnz IV, but Im not sure if they are RX 18 equiped. The ownwr dont know, but the transmitters look like the RX 18's I have.

It should be. Prior to the RX-18, the so called RX-13/RX-14 are all circuit boards and not a Multi-Function unit like the RX-18. The only other thing it could be is the new Taigen 2.4Ghz which has a fan sitting on top of it. If it looks like yours and have Heng Long wording all over it then it probably is.

Both RX13 & RX14 are S&S sound versions. Also all S&S versions come in a white box (black is the old non S&S)

Only way I know to determine is a S&S is RX18 with out opening the tank up is if it has a HT flash unit or IR system as these dont work with the RX13 or 14.

If the selling could look at bottom of the tank there should be a manufactured stamp date, Think RX18 been out for about last 3 years, but could still fall in gap between using up all electronics and new mould etc.

The non smoke and sound board is the TK01 and that has the ABC receiver and transmitter - all the boards that followed have smoke and sound the RX13 has all the connections soldered on, the RX14 has plug in connectors and the RX18 is the latest board with IR capability and proportional drive.
