Tiger 1 front cog detached
Hi there I have just stumbled on this site and I wonder if anyone can help me please. My son has a Hen Long Tiger 1 which he bought already built and modified unfortunately the front cog on the right hand track has become detached with the screw held captive in it. Can someone tell me how to get inside the tank to reattach the cog as I don't know how, thanks for your help.

The screw under the cap should be a 2.5mm hex head

No, I believe the front sprocket has fallen off and the mounting screw is inside the cap, I think all he needs to know is that you just pry the cap off with a small flathead screw driver and then he can reattached the front "cog" to the drive shaft.

Hi martyn ,OK ,to get into the tank ,first take off the aerial wand ,and safer to disconnect the battery as well. Secure the hatch shut with tape ,that will save the ammo escaping, now turn the tank upside down . Near the front in a recess is a screw remove ,near the back again in a recess are two more ,remove ,these might be captive. Under the wheels on both sides there are three more ,bit tricky as the wheels are in the way ,remove these ,careful now the tank should split ,be careful because there are wires still attached ,open up the top hull and you should be able to half the aerial lead there is a connection half way .also cables to the firing mechinism and the headlamp circuit board these are easily removed too ..hope that helps
