tiger one battle damage
Last night my husban lynx took a dislike to my heng long tiger one anyway the damage appeared to be cosmetic as it destroyed the copella ,just as well Herman the driver was away to the loo otherwise it could have been serious. So this morning I started up the tank and all that is happening is the lights are flashing ,the engine start on the controller isn't doing a lot ,no engine noise at all ,I've got the top off and can't see any thing untoward , no loose wires,I really need a circuit tester to see what power is where,Amazon to the rescue methinks! Does anyone have any ideas what has happened? I'm sure its fixable ...cheers

If your Lucky it could just be the crystal in the receiver.
Loose or dead.
Worth a punt.
Good luck!

Did check both crystals for looseness ,seemed fine ,is there any way they can be checked to see if they function ?

Hi,
My only thoughts on testing the crystals would be to try them both in another tank...They are very easy to remove, and I am not aware that a failed crystal can do any harm to the circuitry.
It does sound like there is no signal getting to the main board....might it simply be worth unplugging and reattaching the 3 wire cable that connects the receiver board to the main board ??
By the way please can I ask what 'attacked' the Tiger ?...You have put this in your question and I am not sure what it is....'husban lynx'

. . ." the lights are flashing ,the engine start on the controller isn't doing a lot ,no engine noise at all " . . .
That sounds like the classic , simple , low / flat battery symptom - try recharging it again (or try another) . . see if that cures it

Will do would be good I,ved stripped the tank down ,did take a voltage reading that said it was throwing out 7 point odd volts but that didn't give the strength

When mine are freshly charged they always show 8v + . As you say , yours shows 7v + but that is no indication of capacity .
