3cell LiPo vs RX18

Post by Battlechip »

Hi All, due to Tankbears overvoltage test, I had to at least try my 3cell. It is a Trakpower 4900mAh 25c 11.1volts fully charged is 12.63volts. In the past I found electric vehicles to run cooler with more voltage and lower wound motors(brushless). I ran this straight off the charger, So far everything is fine with no fan and full volume so I will test it properly tomorrow (maybe) if it doesnt smoke up like the smoke machine does,I will try a motorcycle 12v battery.cheers

Hi All, I've run the 12volt m/cycle battery today no problems (yet) still to try under load. I haven't bothered with a fan yet. Also the smoke machine now sounds like a turbo.I will continue with testing as I want a Benedini sound unit anyway. I am wondering if using a speed controller on the electric motor on the smoke machine ,is good idea or no. cheers
