LI-PO battery Usage with Tamiya DMD/MFU

Post by X82d Pathfinder »

I noted that someone here had asked about using Li-Po with a Tamiya electronics. Novak Li-Po Smart Stop #5470 works for this application. The issue lies in the battery not dropping below 6V, thus damaging the battery and/or burning up. Here is the fix for this issue. It's a cut off, which even incorporates an LED that flashes then turns solid blue when you are at 6.2V.
