Swapping RX-18 and Taigen 2.4Ghz question

Post by MichaelC »

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone had try swapping the RX-18 in a stock HL IR tank with the new Taigen 2.4Ghz system ? I have successfully done it for a couple of tanks with the Asiatam recoil and the after market high intensity flash, but hit a brick wall when I try to put it into a stock HL IR with HL flash unit and HL recoil. The flash stays on the moment you turn on the power, and the recoil doesn't kick in at all.

Cheers !

Michael.

From what I've read the HL IR is compactible with the Taigen system so guessing that is where the issue is.

Hmmm...... I know that the IR itself is not compatible (i.e. you can't do battle between a HL and a Taigen tank), but I am having trouble with the hook-up. The stock Recoil and Flash is not working when you swap the new Taigen controller for the RX-18. My understanding is that they are basically pin compatible. My suspicion is that the wiring for the stock HL IR is not the same as Asiatam recoil unit.
