hi, I've been working on one for while now, it's great to work on and so much can be done to it.
You'll find that all the hatches will open up, they're only lightly glued, the periscope hatches will also open and can be made to rotate. Commander's hatch will rotate and the wheels/suspension can be modified, exactly like that on the Mato 1/16 Sherman, and works well.
I have the el-mod pro to put in as it's 12v and you add your own ESCs so there's no power problem. Turret rotation and gun elevation should be straight forward but recoil I'll need to think about.
The tracks are the main problem as they are just a press fit, however I've drilled a few out and put pins through and it seems fine, I'll tell better onceI get it running.
Bits and pieces like periscopes, periscope covers, working tow hitch etc I got from Armorpax (very good & helpful)
For the money it's a great buy.

hi Dog
It's almost exactly like the mod to the !/16 Mato Sherman suspension but a lot easier as it bigger and not so fiddly

East Coast Armory has alot of nice upgrade parts for the Sherman. Even has working suspensions for it either in prebuilt or kit form. John did a nice build on the dml sherman under the nickname armorguy on SAG and other forums

Just back you mentioned casting numbers. I get them from squires tools. Plastruct plastic alphabets. They come in sizes 2 mm to about 6mm
