@ Eastern Front,

Thanks for your concern, but it is Dan that needs your attention, I'm as healthy as a fish......well kinda, suffering from a severe case of Shermalism, nothing to worry about!!

All the best Dan!!

The monster have grown his teeth!!

This is a tipical John-day....I was planning to place the electronics, however I got fed up with the empty sight of the turret. So I took out my airbrush and started to, partially, paint the turret. When the base color was applied, it was time to place the puppy's teeth.....

I also was very happy to see how the structure on the turret turned out under a coat of paint.

Thanks for looking, John.

It's coming right along! Not a bad hue of Olive Drab either! Make sure you use a quality metal primer on the nickel-silver parts. They chip and peel if you don't knock them down with a bit of 400 paper.

A very rainy day in Holland, so lot's of time on my hands. Time for the base coat on the turret:

The color is very plain at this moment, but will get a bit more lively after the upcoming highlight sessions.

While waiting for the paint to dry, I fooled around with the commanders helmet, added the strap from the inner helmet and found a new use for 1:35 scale Sherman (Dragon) tie-downs:

I think it will look nice when the commander wears his helmet and the straps are haning loose.....

Dan,

Next step will be the completion of the upper-hull, painting it and then the BIG adventure.....:Weathering. As always I'm looking forward to this process. It's always a mix-match with me: when building a model I'm looking forward to the paint and weathering process, and while I'm in the midst of painting I look forward again to builing a model......There must be seriously WRONG with me...LOL

Do you have a kit morgue too with several hundred kits too? LOL
I just can't build anything straight out of the box anymore. I think it's known as professional modler's syndrome.

Dan,

Well, not several hundred, but when I say I have all the Tasca Shermans and nearly all the Dragon Shermans in stash, together with some Academy M-10's, M-36'es and other allied stuff, I think I'm probably on the point of no return.
There's also a Tamiya Tiger I full ops screaming to be built, as a 1:16 Trumpeter T-34/85......I'm lost for mankind....LOL
