Thanks Jim. Pepper mill was ready, willing, and able! My wife and I had a peppery red wine with it, my son went with a stout from a local brewery. We saved the Rideau Whisky from our town's distillery for dessert.
A friend visiting from BC was surprized that a "guy who puts Cheez Whiz on his hotdogs", could manage something like this. Visigoth...

Excellent work on that Wellington.

Not an easy one to get perfect like that.

Mike, that wellington looks gorgeous. Is there space at your house? I’ll bring the whisky, and haggis for starters.

Whisky and haggis are always welcome here Mr. M Rat! Typically, all of the whisky before the haggis! Kidding, I've had some very good haggis over the years.
