Hi,

Progressing on the interior. Now you can see where I am going with this. Detailing the interior of a fighting vehicle like this one is a different technique. I am used to paint and detail tanks from the outside, you know, be on top and always see things from above. On this open compartment, I have to get inside the tank to do what I need to do. I had to cut the handles of a few paint brush, use my left, use a camera to see things. It's very interesting.
It still need a lot of fine tuning. Getting there.

Louis getting there would be an understatement I am very impressed with all your work I love the addition of the dry brushing to accentuate all the exposed and worn metal I really really think you did a great job now it's time to hear it run

Thank you Doc and Carl,

The way each of us paint their tank is a personal taste. I like them with a worn out and sun baked finish, without being dirty.

Here, the gun is firmly in place and the push rod for gun elevation as been installed through the gun rotation shaft. The gun is further up front than when I designed the elevation system, so the push rod now shows more than before. But it is under the gun and you have to look for it to notice it. I had to relax the tension on the rod, which gives me less elevation than before, but I least I am not afraid that some of the gun resin parts will break when the rod pulls the gun up.
It's real ugly inside. The shape of the upper hull and the limited space available makes it difficult to fit the electronics but specially the big HL stock battery. I have a system integration issue.The trap closes only by pushing the battery inside and applying pressure against the elevation system, and it does not like it at all. I will have to find a smaller battery.

Hey Louis you can utilize a small LiPo battery and get more capacity than the stock heng long battery that's what I had to do in order to get Space inside. The best battery that I was able to get for a small size is inside the Dicker Max that I picked up from Michael C it's a zippy pack lipo and it's 2200 mAh very very small

Ah, wonderful , thanks Carl. I was searching eBay for such small battery and could not find any.

It was a rainy day today and I managed to work a lot on it. At this point, I just want to finish it. I completed the exterior this late afternoon and I noticed the sun was out so I brought it outside finally for a first good look at it in the sun. I must say I am satisfied with the results.
Tomorrow, I am planning to do the ammo, make the radio presentable, and finish the interior. After that, I will be done with the Nashorn.

Looks excellent. Big fan of the brushed dry metal touches. In the sun it looks as if you are inside the fighting compartment of the real thing
