Good morning,
Rad, I vaguely remember Tamiya making a sprue kit of the MG42 like their excellent M2 kit that is still available. Some of the best in mass produced metal and plastic multi piece weapons can be found here currently:

Jack, Heyos! Thank you for the tip my friend.
regards,
Painless

Good morning,
Soeren, I spent most of yesterday doing tools and tow cables and little bits of brass work. I'm at 75 - 80% complete with detailing. It was fun to spend an entire day modeling. That is something that usually only happens in the Winter.

Painless

Now that the Mates week long Birthday celebrations are finished and (most) of the cake is eaten, it is time to get serious with the Tiger again. Max kindly sent most of the electronics even tho' I am waiting for my next payroll to pay him for them. A new Radio and RX that I can switch back and forth between builds is in the offing as well. It was past time that I got dragged into the present state of the Hobby. I have finished the detailing today and got the markings in place. I am really pleased with it. I'm looking forward to running it around the lot on the ground I have cleared for the tank village. Pics:

Mr Painless outstanding work as usual. The details such as the headlamp and antenna are so nice. The commander looks like the real thing for sure.
This evening I've finally found some time off and am adding the electronics that Stian shipped my way about a week ago for my M-36. Not enough good words to say about that man. One of a kind and helpful guy!
It's astonishing to see these little yet painstakingly intricate details come alive and make the usual tiger I look unusually different. Can wait to see your progress with Maxmekker's electronics and the sounds and functions.

Carl!
Thank you, my Friend. I think I hewed to the line I set myself to make this Tiger visually appealing yet not as magnifying glass worthy as Mike's Tamiya Tiger build. This is my first Hobby Grade Tiger of my own and Max has been instrumental in researching and getting together the right components to bring it to life. We are definitely lucky in having him as a Vendor and fellow Builder. I have recently had the misfortune to have mine and my Mates personal information put out on the Web ( by the States Dept of Jury Selection no less ) accidentally and it resulted in fraudulent activity on my Paypal account as well as being the final straw in us switching from a bank to a credit union. Max has been incredibly helpful and understanding as all of this occurred in the middle ( naturally ) of our transactions to get this Tiger up and running. I cannot say enough good things about him and his Parts Business. He is amazing!

Painless

So sorry to hear this. Good to hear you're recovering from the nightmare of identity theft. My wife and I suffered a very similar situation about a year ago and it was such a tough go for a few weeks. (Our cell phone company had an evil and foolish employee) Story for another day....
Yes Stian very much like Ian (Tankbear) is such an excellent fellow and a benefit to is in so many ways.
Well you are the master of creativity and detail and I take many cues from your work

Just fitted my antenna to the M36 tonight and it was you who reccomended it. What a difference!
On another note....
This time Maxmekker stuffed a whole bag of the chocolate goodness from Norway and my kids and Wife gobbled them up! Such fun for everyone.
All the best
Carl

Carl!
Great news on the antenna and the delectable chocolates. I have a few set back for when this Build is complete. *chuckles*
Mick! Already taken care of online and offline. Returned funds are on their way and everything is battened down again.

Painless

It turned out fantastic Painless! I'm glad you're enjoying it, I just lost intrest in it turns out to be a problem I'm having with all of my tanks sadly enough.

I'm glad it went to a good home and is being finished properly after all the work I put into it.
