One thing I notice about green....highlighting and washing in most cases will darken it...I bought a lighter green to experiment on my 1/35th Chaffee...as the normal shade would always get to a dark olive once donescalawag wrote:Thanks ALPHA,ALPHA wrote:Looks good in Green Scalawag...makes all your detail work "POP"....once you do your wash magic ...it will really tie everything together![]()

I'm pleased you like it.![]()
The filters and washes should soften the colour a bit, and bring out the smaller details even further. I have decals to apply and detail painting to do before I get to the washes/filters.![]()
Tracks and tyres are back on now too.

Ah ..ok...thought you wanted this greenscalawag wrote: Yeah the filters will darken green, so this is lighter and brighter than I want the end result to be. Its too stark at the moment.![]()

No worries Scalawag....got that from your first explanationscalawag wrote: No ALPHA, on a project like this where I will be using filters and washes, and weathering I am always thinking ahead to the finished article, so the base colour will always be a few shades different to the colour I am aiming for. After a while you get to know how colours will change with different coloured filters added.
Thanks for the concern that I might have missed this though, I appreciate it.![]()

LOL...Funny you mention that...Dgsselkirk said putting racing stripes down the center of my M1 would assist in it being able to catch air....Didn't work...looked kind of Spiffy thoughHERMAN BIX wrote: Funny how I still want to see a couple of metallic silver racing stripes down its centre and the driver with a Tartan on his helmet, or an S.Moss signature on the fume extractor![]()
