Thanks for that. The springs I used were 1.5mm wire diameter. I've ordered some more in 1.8 and 2.0. (Aliexpress)

Wow what a beautiful build & what an interesting subject the BT-5 is. I had no idea what an innovative tank the BT-5 was until I came across your build, great work & very inspiring.

Just about finished now. Had a test drive round the garden, painted it and made a storage/transport box. Weighs around 38kg.

It occurs to me that this tank looks extremely vulnerable to attack in the rear. A petrol bomb/Molotov cocktail in the mesh cover and it would be all over wouldnt it?
