Spent the evening, installing my new TK 7.1 in the Challenger. This now gives a servo elevation, which gives the reload position on the barrel. (Thanks to Mr Bix for all the information) Took the afternoon installing the servo for the elevation. Still have ports for servos and other things which I have no idea how to access. I will do a small video and some photos of the installation, because I is a dumb ass, and forgot to do it. Also the recoil is sticking and not as smooth as it was.

As threatened. Installed magnets in the upper and lower hull. All holds good, for normal driving. Not so good when you drive over 30cm drop. :{

Installed new 7.1 board. And removed the remains of the battery box.

I’ll accept that every thing in America is exaggerated. 🤔 Managed to find the parts that came off, on the beach as well. So I’ll call that a result.

I launched it from 90cm a while back and did enough damage. One broken vase belonging to the wife and some parts knocked off. God knows what would happen from 3000mm.

Managed to get some maintenance done on the Challenger. Sprockets, and tracks were removed. Wheel stations tightened, and lock tighted in place. Various ones come loose. I need to remove the gear boxes, and beef up the two rear ones.

Removed half the garden. Mr Chef has expressed an interest in purchasing it, to assist with his own garden… :haha: :haha: :haha:

Thats some wild running your giving it mate, I gotta give credit where its due, you are a better man than I for running a model that hard ;)

I don’t think I do run them hard. The Tiger does the same route, and doesn’t gather any debris.

To keep this on track. (Or being a Challenger, probably detracked). I have ordered a pair of 3S batteries. £19.95 for one, £22.95 for two, with free delivery Go figure? So not the best quality then from Amazon. But I’m not paying £22 delivery on a good quality battery that was £30 despite the price including free delivery to main land UK. Ah! But you come under Highlands and Islands sir. We are an hour outside of Glasgow, so hardly remote. I have also taken into account that as these are probably not the best quality, I will ensure they are in charging bags, only charged when I am present, on a suitable charger, and charged at low current.

Anyway, this will be a little experiment to find the speed differences between, batteries, 2S, high speed, 3S low speed, and 3S high speed, using the setting on the controller.

Given the warnings of others, and the work I put into it, I feel confident, that if driven sensibly, and not driven flat out over unstable terrain it will survive, the odd high speed dash in a straight line.
