It goes on, today at the agenda a small position change on the turret roof. At my last reconstruction I had missed to correct the position of the turret fan.

Image

The fan sits not in the middle and as far forward as in this photo but...

...more moved to the commander's hatch. Something like at this photo.

He got the welds of course back again; at the details of the fan has nothing changed.

Other points received also missing welds.

Further then next time with a last technical adjustment - inevitably...

At the agenda stands a last technical adjustment - and this as announced - inevitably...
It's about the antenna, so far my Tiger had no antenna, but an antenna is an important part of the equipment. Due to my endless 360 ° rotation of my turret, the antenna must sometimes go out of the way. I do not know how it was solved at the original, so I need my own solution.
I started to bring the antenna foot to the correct position, using a rest part from another Tamiya tank; here already at the corrected, new mounting location.

Image

The antenna must give in at a touching of the turret or the cannon, so I searched in my spares box for the smallest tension spring. This I have then first once shortened. From a brass rod I turned me on my lathe two spring receivers, one for below and one for the top. The top half then tapers to receive a small round spring steel. This was then tested extensively, first once again pictures...

In this configuration I have tested plentiful and no problems found; whether the paint takes damage must answer the time.

And once again a view of the antenna foot...

Suitable to this report is here a little video of the function of the antenna. At the same time this is also a demonstration of my endless 360° rotation of the turret, which was also the reason for the antenna conversion.
