Tiny bit of progress.
Used an old re-writable CD/DVD and cut sections to be used as periscope glass.
Has a really nice look to it when the light hits it.
3 more to do.

Also still need to do the fuel lines that join the external fuel tanks, and I might make some handles around the thing to replace the molded ones. These could be required to help secure the stowage all over it!.
There are 3D printed ones available here from BNA Modelworld but I just think they will be a bit fragile for the usual rough handling.
I might have a go at making some & see how it goes.

This is the camo Im going with . The darker green I have covered, its the tan/light green I am struggling to dream up a recipe for.
The red/redbrown I can cover.
Could that odd shade be a light khaki or say add a bit of Buff to Nato Green ??
Appreciate any ideas folks ;)

Herman!
It could be that the odd khaki color is due to something basic like a filter effect of having khaki buff laid next to that weird pinkish red brown. Something to test and try...

What’s the best way to cut the CD? Whenever I try to cut CD’s the reflective coating come off, and I just end up with a piece of clear plastic.

For me its wipe a finger over the reflective backing with PVA glue & after it dries, cut with a really sharp pair of scissors.
Your mileage may vary but it works for me.

Thank you. I will try your method, for the periscopes in the T72.

Just a small-time arms dealer for now, got to quit my day job and move onto the big stuff! Managed to get these printed over the weekend.

Yep, it'll be easy enough to do a Type 56 and AKM from these drawings; I don't think the receiver is any different between the AK-47 and AK-74 platforms. I'll try and sort that out during the week.

Good Grief Charlie Brown !!.................

Only detail missing is the wood grain :O :O
The AKM receiver is no different other than the chamber, external details differences are recognisable but subtle.
