2nd road test, running a bit better. I discovered that the old hl electrics had a loose solder joint on the ariel and a broken wire on the receiver cable...fixed that and it was all hunky dory.

The Chieftain has now found a new home, so completion will be in the hands of the new owner...who I know will make an excellent job of it.

Due to austerity measures it looked like the Cheiftain was going to sit on my shelf for a long while, so I decided to finish it off, and then decide what to do with it. I put a coat or two of paint on, and still have a few bits to do. Will probably have it as a run around non-IR tank, but haven't decided yet.

Additional detail added and managed to get some more paint on it. Looking a bit better now, but still lots to do.

I would, honestly I would, but what with it not being finished yet, the terrible postal service, storm Eric/Cecil/Humphrey etc...oh and the floods, I just daren't take the risk! :O

Hi Rob
She is really coming alive now with the paint, what a beauty! What with her and my Centurian bridgelayer what a photo opportunity. I'll have to try and get to one of your meets when you have finally finished her.
Hats off to you mate.

I would quite like to visit the Grantham meet at some point as well, hopefully this year I will make it up there.
