Got most of the olive drab done but then ran out of paint so have to wait for the postman to deliver more. Hopefully tomorrow. I am seriously thinking of fitting a mato turret but have no idea what would be involved to do this. I guess it is too much to hope that a mato turret would be an exact fit. Thing is that I don't want to order a new turret and then find it is a 'no go'.

it will fit on you just have to mess with the wiring to get the turret to function properly ...wot wot....

By the way cupoftea.... I found a way you can convert your HENG LONG to a 75 mm barrel... I found an old brass airsoft barrel.... chucked it in my drill and tapered it...it came out with just about the same dimensions as the nick aguilar barrel.... I took the measurements from both the FoV gun and nick's .... the airsoft barrel came from a MP5 ... and I cut about 2.5 inches off the end ...check out the result on my build

Thanks chaps
I now have some dry rub transfers on the way to make the sherman slightly more Russian than it was before hence wanting to fit a mato turret. If I can convince she who must be obeyed that I need to spend a little more on the sherman then it will have a mato turret - if not then the heng long one.

On a sad note - was unable to convince the wife that i needed another turret.
On a happy note - the olive drab paint has arrived so i can now crack on.

I know mate - the word 'need' is purely perspective based, I had the same problem convincing my ex-wife I 'needed' a new wife...................(woops) For every dark (turret) cloud is an Olive Drab lining !?
