Tractor red paint. Very close to original primer from pics I have seen. It has a earthy dark red tone. It is gloss, but will be dulled down later. 'Secret Weapon' makes 2mm brass etched numbers. Perfect for scale casting marks. If you click on the 2nd pic, look closely at the vent casting for the numbers.

OK..found a way to make rough cast look to plastic plates. Using rust O x paint, if you repaint 24 hours later for second coat, it will cause the old coat to expand creating millions of tiny ridges. Not what i wanted, but it looks OK. And it will help hold dirt and dust in place...

Big problem is the can;s spray nozzle sucks and clogs every two sprays. So i used on from another can. much more volume now...

this is called farm tractor red or something like that...

this Bovington JT has the porsche suspension. one of the early ones with zimm.

There are 2 wheels per bogie set, not 2 pairs (4 wheels) like on the elefant.I call them 'single' wheel type, meaning 'per axle'

No source yet for these bogies...(only the elefant type) which will not be easily converted as the design is different.

a few more things done:

Scale hardware small screws. get the wrench too, makes life easier..

few fenders each side. tracks tensioned. you really only need about 12 spare links per side (for the spares...the original tracks were long enough as is...or I needed to only add 1 link..can't remember..)

spare tracks will be ground a little so they lay more flat.

Hmmm. I think you have mounted the spare tracklinks the wrong way. It's suppose to be like this.....

Yep, I realized this after posting the pics, they are already changed around and fit perfectly.

Great find on the JT porsche wheels!
