Fender-less Tiger I
I have a Dremel but it doesn't get used very often here. Blades, files, saws and sand paper are generally used. I use the chisels a bunch and often with a small brass hammer. Broken many blades and have cleaned the mushrooms off the hammered end of the two chisels a few times each! Thanks again!

Fixed, thanks Chef.

Getting ready for some branding. Pencil marks are just reference lines, I sort of got lost on the first turret side.

Re: Fender-less Tiger I
To Zim or not to Zim, that is my question...
Looking through the books and online pictures, I have not found a clear picture of a real tiger with zim on the nose (in front of the MG and driver's visor). I've found several pictures of models in various scales with and without zim on the nose.

Doesn't look like Zim was on the bow or visor.

Although the allied forces didn't use magnetic mines, that surface is so flat I think nearly anything would stay put...

Yeah I'm just guessing. If it's horizontal its got gravity on it's side by a wide margin.

Eric Check this one out though. I just found this link and pics I've never seen before=
Second Tiger down on page 23. It's definitely damaged but it does look to have the zimmerit pattern on the horizontal portion.
https://porschecarshistory.com/wp-conte ... rofile.pdf
Again it's black and white and not terribly clear and it's a PDF of a book.
What do you think?
It's also possible they applied it to early applied zimmerit Tigers and not on later ones. And or that it was done at some factories and not others.

Re: Fender-less Tiger I
Yeah, I've seen several pictures of possible Zim, but with so much mud, crud and dirt on that panel it is tough to tell. Besides, with the ridged zimmerit (and with solders walking on that panel) it would be a catch all for mud/crud and likely very smooth looking.
In SPR it did take two attempts with the sticky bomb.
