Been a while since I posted anything on this, but it’s now painted. How ever I’m not happy with how glossy the mig paint looks so it will likely be repainted in ral 6003. The closest match to the mig British olive drab

If the color is as you like, you might consider just a clear, flat acrylic overcoat. That would get rid of the glossy appearance and provide decent protection. I use a clear flat acrylic on almost everything I paint.

I have some Matt clear coat but I also have a Churchill Achilles and badger that have been repainted in 6003 and it looks a lot better as it proper automotive paint
