Still trying to figure out how to work out the different style tracks needed for the M48A3. Thinking M26 Pershing tracks but they are approx. .125" narrower than the M1 Abrams supplied with the kit so fitting the sprocket width is the 1st issue. Not sure how they will mesh with the sprocket teeth but thinking some judicious filling should be possible if too tight.

I tried different versions; scale would be 44mm track width - M26 tracks are much narrow. Also I tried to combine M4 and M26 tracks - theyre 46mm but don't run well
Therefore I choosed M1 tracks for best solution with 40mm width. Rubber pads with correct shape are in production if you are interrested in

The tank weigh almost 5kg without electronics and that´s more than the styrene tanks I made.
My styrene tanks are designed/made of max. 3mm sheet thickness (very less parts doubled), but this resin have thickness of 4 - 5mm, so it´s stiffness is much better.
The problem of resin is, that not everybody can handle it (in some cases me too ), so the kit will be sold at first as "completed" tanks.

You are producing rubber pads with the "chevron" shape? If so then I am very interested.

yes Barry, one of my colleagues produces the chevron type rubber pads
I've no access to my pictures because I'm on vacation, but end of next week I'll post some pictures.

The set includes only the outside rubber pads for both tracks and will be 100€ without shipping.
Like the original pads they have to be stuck in and additionaly have to be glued.

a little progress is done...

Since a long time I´ve wanted to build an IDF tank and after my Centurion Mk.III became a Korean fighter, this M48A2C will be a fighter while 6-Day-War in 1967.
Without any major changes the IDF (Israel Defence Force) took over M48A2C and renamed them Magach 2.

Meaning of the markings:
3rd Battalion (3 strips around gun barrel)
2nd Company (chevron heading forward)
2nd Platoon (number 2)
1st Tank in the Platoon (Hebrew alphabet aleph ?)
of the 7th Armored Division



















a lot of personal gear is still missing...
