Hi Blimp. Lovely work. I'm interested in all this resin casting you've been doing - what product do you use, where do you get it and are there any tips you can offer to a virgin caster? Ta Tim

Hello T.F.T.M . - I picked up a complete DIY resin starter set at a show yonks ago , by a company in the U.K. called Sylmasta . I found that the resin does go off a bit quick when mixed which is a pain ( about 4 mins ! - total cured 30 mins ) - a slower curing type that gives me a chance to tease the bubbles out would be better though , less panic

.
. . . A bit more . . .

Enginge hatch handles from brass wire + more new latches
Late type air intake , more plasticard with bolt pillars from tube , awaiting bolts . . .

Can you tell what this is yet ?

O.K. from the other side - 'bout now ?

. . . Here's the dirty deed in progress .
And this is where it'll go , the idea was to make a simple pop in replacement but there is a slight alignment issue , bum , Oh well it will only take a few seconds to recentre i 'spose

Datums were found on the interwebby - top and side G.A.'s

. . . When i'm happy with it , i'll make a decent mould - but i'm a bit low on rubber, i've ordered some more ( and some hi temp stuff , so i can try doing some in metal as well . Muhaha ! ) B.
