I thought i'd try a tank commander to see how well he would fit the turret. Obviously the Tank itself is deeper than the box the turret is sat on but I think a 1/6 figure looks snug but ok in the Cupola.

I have decided I want to fit a turret bin. Does anyone know of any plans out there or is this a case of needing to scratch build it myself?

It appears Armorpax are the go to people for a Turret bin.... it is listed as currently unavailable so I've sent a begging email asking for one.

Armorpax got back to me about their Turret, the mould is knackered so they won't be making any more Turret Bins. A shame really but onwards, ever onwards.
I decided to make a card template that will help me iron out any problems. You can see from the photos it is less than perfect but it will help me make a better plastic card version by using the card as a template. The bin needs to be sat a little lower but not by much. I still need to work out a lid & i'll buy some FOA hinges for it or just use the ones I have.. I'll pick some plastic card up on Monday.
I needed to removed the turrets rear vision port to sit the bin flat, i'm assuming the same would have had to be done to fit the real Bin?
I'm coming to the end of what I can do with the turret, I really need the hull uparmour kit to arrive.

I like your approach. Sometimes the best part of this hobby is overcoming the unusual and making things work.
Is the bin a wee bit too tall? I'm sure this template is as you noted just a guide. Following along!

From the look of the photos, I would suggest the bin was mounted on large L shaped brackets either side of the vision slot.
Great progress and following along.

I sprayed up the cardboard Bin to give me an idea of what the finished item will look like. I believe this Bin is the correct size so all I have to do now is figure out how to add a curve to plastic card to make the Bin.

I figure that the "L" Brackets were for support at the bottom while bolt fixed the Bin to the top of the turret. There doesn't seem to be a gap between the Bin & Turret so the Bin is held close. Todays mission is to try & find something similar to give me an idea of how to fix the bin in place. Does anyone have any information?
