"Aw, they wes jest keeds".... but luckily not the crazed and glassy eyed 'Lord's Resistance Army' types. I always laugh when I see John Wayne in a uniform of some description, since he moved heaven and earth to stay out of one during the War. :O
Still, all the blue-belly adults needed was bagpipes to scare them off,and thus avert the ass-spanking, breeches- warming that one hapless 'keed' was treated to. Hmmm... that wouldn't pass the censors these days, anyway..that's brat 'abuse'.. :shh:

Well, in my present condition I could do a very good impression of Dennis Weaver as 'Chester', In '"Gunsmoke'....or Robert Newton as Long John Silver., but not Douglas Bader, luckily :haha:

Well, A.,I'll be sporting the knee-length Moonboot for at least another two months, even with further help from a physio at the Hospital. One of neighbours, who's an expert carpenter threw together a 20 ft wooden ramp to cope with the steps at my 'pied a terre' ..my Heilan Hoose (more like 'stump a terre' now.). and he managed that all in the 4 days I was in hospital. Even when I can don my ballet shoes again.... :haha: and dance the Highland fling on a brace of claymores -swords..not bombs that is :haha: , I'll keep the ramp.I've already seen the amazing Tank potential in it  ...part of a new proving ground for clanking technology.

Honestly, I don't like to equate number of posts to ranks. It's kinda walt-ish for my tastes. If there was a board option for me not to see the ranks, that would be good. But it's really no biggie for me as I don't usually notice it.

At another discussion board where I've been posting for more than 10 years, I've amassed 19,562 posts.
