Paul,
Jim-Dandy to the eye, sir! ;o) I've loving the functional detail on the tail lights and the non skid which matches the rl tank. Following along.

The Tamiya texture paint is great for the antislip. I think it gives just the right texture and look where it is applied.

I will probably end up using fuse wire for the Cages on the rear lights to get the size of the cage looking right. The ones on the Challenger 2 prototype at Bovington are quite beat up.

Got to work out how to do the mounting brackets on the sides yet.

This photo had me smiling as that tail light cage has seen some action. :D I wonder how many homes, cars, trucks, fellow tanks, trees, people ( 8O ) have bumped into it when the tank reversed. :haha:

I really love the plain vanilla profile of the Challenger 2, the reason it is my third fave tank (second being ODS-era Challenger 1 with the long Chieftain hull stowage bin on the turret, and first being Chieftain Mk11 with Stillbrew and TOGS ;D ). I like my tanks with a sloping profile. :D

I CANNOT WAIT FOR MIDDLE OF NEXT YEAR TO GET A CHALLENGER 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should invest in at least one Herman....Personally at the moment ...think I'm going to take a pass on the Chally...I was excited before...but the more I look at it the more I find it isn't my cup of tea so to say...the only thing that I kind of like are the perforated sprockets ;)

Excellent Job Scalawag...thank you for showing the many aspects of this model

Thats a shame ALPHA. I was looking forward to what you would do with a challenger. Ah well :(

Glad you are enjoying this build though ALPHA :D

Happy Holidays

Paul
It is in a way....But it seems the more I looked at the Chally...the more and more it reminded me of the French MBT...which I really don't like the looks of...but you never know on these things...nothing is ever written in stone ;)

Good afternoon,
I have so much WWII stuff left to do but one day I will get around to modern armor. Until then, I can enjoy all of your Builds, folks. ;o)

Painless

Happy Holidays to all.

Looking great! One of the things I love about this scale is the opportunity to add some amazing detail, and this really shows up with your build.

Cheers, Tom
