Got em on my tanks really help stop hull flexing by spreading the load from the floor to the sides. Also the fact that the front is metal helps make things stronger.Kiaser wrote:I see that is the down fall to all this so the gearboxes are a good idea did you consider the shaft bearings
Nope. The gearboxes have that LONG drive axle that connects to the drive sprocket, that axle being so long and so lop sided tends to try to twist the gearbox by the drive sprocket axle basicly being a lever. That bearing mounted on the outside of the hull stops the drive axle from moving at all giving the axle MUCH more support. By doing that it keeps the tracks in line and helps stop tracks from being thrown. It also stops the tanks floor from flexing which again keeps the tracks in line. I don't think its overkill it just gives the drive axle the support it badly needs due to the basic design of the gearboxes.Blitzmgg wrote:Will it not be over kill with already having built in bearings
