Progress is slow, I've been tied up on installing a second hard drive on my desktop and installing Linuxmint onto it, if I can get World of Tanks running at a decent speed I can junk Windows completeIy and be a free man, lol, should be able to get back to it next week hopefully.
Need to nudge the gearboxes out by a couple of mm's, install the turret rotation unit, and try and figure out how to make the baskets that go on the side of the turret. Brass rod would be the obvious choice, but making two matching ones will be a bit of a challenge,
See you Sunday, hoping to be there about 8am to get things set up, Lord knows how everything will fit in the car??

Blooming day I have had. Decided to try and print the turret baskets rather than make them out of brass rod.
The first pair fell apart when I was removing the flashing.
The second pair cleaned up nicely and I glued them on.
I then realised that the rear boxes were too tall, and that the baskets should be longer and shallower.
I then realised that the bustle was still about 1-2mm too deep and was going to hit the rear deck and boxes.
So I had to pull the old boxes off, redesign and reprint the baskets yet again, then redesign the boxes and print those, and then slice material off the bustle base...which was a pig of a job as it was a large slab of 3D printed PLA.

Managed to get some more of the turret paraphernalia done, not perfect but reasonably close, more angles and bevels than my brain can cope with...
