Hi Brel,
Thanks its normaly late when Im on here . Ive just looked at the post regarding hinges and think I can do that . I put a good coment on the post . Im currently out of work hence all the free time . Well I have my two children to amuse , Im a single parent . They went swimming with some friends today so I altered the ends of the bins on my Tiger I and opened the tops , hence the hinges . Ones at his mums tom and my daughters at a birthday party so if I get chance I will have a bash at the hinges . Again thanks .

Hi Andy,
Finished off painting the base coat on my pershings yesterday - then found out I should have used Olive Drab not Khaki

Oh well, I guess I'll save that for a "later upgrade"... at some point... before Hell freeze's over... maybe...
My El-Mod CSI modules are here anyway, so as soon as I have the Pershings back together I can start fitting out the Tiger's turret.

I got the cammo pattern from an original colour photo . I re added the tank combat and wound badge in milliput ! . Ive still got more to do to them . The guy with the side cap was originaly the same as the officer . just choped him up a bit . But I think theres room for improvment :-\

Hi Andy,
The Crew looks great! If you ever want to start a sideline in painting German tank commanders, I have plenty laying around here
Pershing Update: I put the whole thing back together and found out that the IR was pointing off to the right of the main barrel and was almost impossible to score a hit at ~ 10ft >:(
Mr Dremel has cut some more clearance around the emitter tube and I've remounted it, we hope for more sucess in the morning :-\
The downside is that the whole turret is covered in greasy finger prints as its impossible to work on these things without getting covered in goo!!! I see another respray in my near future...
Probably not going to get too much done this weekend as my apartment complex is having its annual inspection on monday, and it will take me all weekend to clean up this pig sty...
I miss living in my own little house...

Hi Mart,
Sounds like your having fun . I had ago at brass hinges and to be honeast a bit of a disaster , Im going to try again or get in touch with the guy on here who does them. I havent done much recently to my Tiger other than opening the drivers vission port . Im going to have to have a chat with you regarding the electronic side when your back other here if thats ok . Thanks for the comments on the crew . I didnt think thaey were that good ? Im going to fit headphones and cables to the commandor when I get round to it.The chap with the side cap is the same as the other figure , just chopped up .Originaly he had the peaked M43/44 cap .But after looking at a picture of Wittmens crew they all seam to wear the side cap and pea dot cammo . I have some colour picts of a panzer uniform in that cammo and I have a repro SS pea dot cammo suit as I was in a living history group , we did mainly the US 101st airborne , but we also did the oposing units to . Any figures want painting I dont mind but Im still unsure if mine are good enougth ?

Hi Andy
Electronics help is just a PM away!

The IR combat systems mega-post is here:
http://www.rctankwarfare.com/Forums/ind ... 919.0.html.
I can certainly help you with the HL RX-13 and RX-14 boards, but I don't have any RX-18's yet.
I also have some experence with Scorpion HX ESC's - altho they don't make them anymore

The Blitz and wibblywobbly are our resident El-Mod guru's.
I'm not rich enough to drop $$$ on a Tamiya, so I'm not going to be of much help with their gear - I'm a quantity over quality kind of guy when it comes to my toys
All of my tank crew figures either got or will get replaced with IR Battle units - so if you want to earn a few quid on Ebay selling custom painted tank commanders you are more than welcome to have them, they're no use to me.
Take a look at Madfox's thread for the ultimate in figure painting (Ardennen is also an expert). I've certainly seen HL figures of a similar quality to your efforts sold on ebay for $5 to $10 a time.
Still not settled on a date for a meet in Pete-bog-horror, I'm angling towards sunday afternoon on the 23rd. I'll probably have at least a hang-over to get rid of (beer festival!), and with any luck an old friend to drop-off at stanstead airport that morning - 12 to 4 could be a good time tho

I'll post in the midlands board and see if I get any takers...

Hi Mart ,
My parents will be the same there keen real ale buffs and like I said early I live near the embankment . As for electronics realy Id like a unit like you quantity as I would like a unit that would be campatable with you and other members for a battle pluss id like it in all my tanks , well most I have the HL Tiger I , HL Stug / PzIII conversion (not finished yet ) , a Tamiya basic Sherman which like the other guy on here Im going to put the HL electronics into it and make it a Firefly ( a target for us) my daughter likes and uses this one ,my son has a HL Panther which Ive converted , and my stepson has a HL Tiger I . So id like something in them all that does all the jobs? Havent done anything tank wise today . But Ive been studying pictures of the Firefly ready .
