Wow, pigs tits or not, its looking the dogs dusters mate.
Just a quick word. I was told to paint my Sherman in Tamiya Olive Green XF58. When I painted it this colour I was disappointed as it looked too "old leaf green" and not the browner look that olive drab has. I'd seen tanks painted in a representation of XF58 in Normandy and came to the conclusion that this was a NATO colour. Therefore not appropriate for a WW2 Allied European Tank. However, when using Tamiya Buff as a wash as I have done on the suspension components it suddenly becomes much more "olive drab" and therefore more pleasing in overall colour.
Just a thought mate when you're deciding on the paint you're going to use.

Hi Nick The model shop where I buy my paint was closed for about 5 weeks and I didnt have any Tamiya olive green but had Humbrol paint so the Lower hull is painted with this and it looks prety good its drab and not bright green. Its hard to get the right colour and I think your right about the Tamiya the olve green is a bright deep green to me and looks more like NATO green,I suppose it would be O.K. for Korean model but not WWII.

Fantastic Pete. You've done a much better job than I did on my Sherman. I like the false bottom in the stowage bin too - nice touch.

Cheers

Really looking forward top seeing it all finished Pete. It should work fine. I found I didn't even need to put any daylight filters in front of the IR receivers in mine. They had no problems registering hits from long range shots (as you saw from the multiple KOs my Sherman got at the last Bovvy meet!)

I'd take up Fleshy's kind offer on the aerial too Pete. It's a lovely piece of work.

Cheers

This is amazing! Sir 971wright...where did you get all those parts especially the storage bins?

Thanks so much.
