So far it looks like UPS is going to make this right but knowing my luck I'm not gonna hold my breath.
I'm with Dietrich on this...Sounds like everything is moving in a good way...Now it's in Pale's hands .. ;)

The shipping of these tanks is really frustrating. I go well beyond the factory packaging to ensure they get where they are going. But my God, they must have played some rugby with the last box. No way it should have incurred the damage it received. The claim goes out in the mail tomorrow. Let's see how long it takes to get the check back.

This shipping incidence really sucks, it's one thing getting money to replace a broken item that there are thousands of the same exact item setting in a warehouse, this tank is a real one-off piece of hand crafted art. jackalope, I really hope you get compensated.

Not gonna say what we're asking for it but basicly enough to repair the damage they caused. Its not like I hot the lottery and I'm not trying to take UPS for all their worth I just want the cost of the parts to repair it.

Talked to UPS and they said they closed the claim on the 12th but they wouldn't give me anymore info cause I wasn't the shipper. So I called Palepainter back and he hasn't heard anything either but he said he'd call UPS Monday and see what's going on. Right now we should just be waiting on a check from them.

Yeah thats what I'm worried about. I'm afraid I'm gonna get stuck holding the bag as it were with this tank. No fault of Pale thats for damn sure! He packaged that thing up real good, it was UPS's fault 110% for crushing it.

As of now I have almost everything I need to fix it after spending a LOT more money for parts, I've almost doubled the cost of the tank.
