Thanks Ian, that is a good idea with the lead into the Dragon.

Very well put Ian. As far as bigger wire, that does mean lower resistance. I need to find the little metal pins that fit these plugs so I can solder the 14 guage wire directly instead of stepping up as Michael put it. The 14 guage wire twisted fits into the dragon perfecly. When I was running the HL wire, I did as you described, twisted it then doubled it over. Still looking for some smaller guage silicone noodle wire for the rest of the tank. As soon as I find the pins and the wire, the whole tank will get an energy upgrade! The lipo's I'm using are 4000, and shaped like a 6cell pack. Those fit the battery box with minimal modifications. Thanks for the info on the motors. I will stay with the 400 series.

Darren I wouldn't bother going the extra bit taking the 14 gauge right into the rx18 plug, because the rx18 will only have small pathways so that is the bottle neck so although what you suggest will work I think the hassle vs the benefits isn't worth it.

Ian.

Not sure what connections you have on your proposed lipo's but changing from the tamiya connectors to Deans makes a difference to the power supply on the standard batteries, Deans give a much better connection.
I noticed an immediate improvement in running time and power when I changed mine over.

I know that might be overkill Ian, but that's just me! LOL. Yes jonger, I got rid of the tamiya connectors right away and installed Deans. Short of hard wiring, that's all I use.
