well i have bought the jagdpanther and have great fun with it. but now comes the modelling bit for it. i am new on this forum so am still finding my way round this site so apologise if these questions have been asked elsewhere.

i have moved the antenna, nice and easy and have purchased some etched grills for the back from welsh dragon. very fine detail, smashing.
i have fitted the 4 rectangle grills and one of the round ones. the one on the left looking from the rear of the tank, does it go above or below the plastic 'spider' thing? i am guessing below but have not stuck it down yet.
i have strengthened the front springs on the tracks so that the front stays up when driven even if it is a little more bouncy.
next will be the mantle, how does this come off? and do i need to keep the LED for the airsoft stuff to still work? and then i shall turn to the exhausts. are there different ones readily available should i need to find alternatives once i identify a specific vehicle to model
where can i get decent pics of the late jagdpanther so that i can get some of the detailing more accurate?

any help most appreciated

Thanks for that Chris. i had seen that an thought 'wow-fantastic' such great detail.
I had noticed the round fan housing (if that is what it is) on the left is different to that on the heng long model. what was the mod carried out to fit this on the late tank, and when?

im not sure a lot of mods were done on tanks in the field maybe you should ask some of the other lads they know more than i do im still learning heres another one i have been looking at http://www.primeportal.net/tanks/thomas_voigt/jagdpanther/

Got mine from Howes models via ebay 75 gbp plus 7.50 postage next day delivery.I have also used Forgebear and have had good service,in fact i have an order with him now for tracks and gearboxes.

Chris, those pictures on primeportal are a bit puzzling. The Jagd displayed has the late version gun mantlet and drivers vision port, but it has the early version engine deck and exhausts. No crew heater and no exhaust cowls. On top of that it has a coating of zim! Strange................
