Started painting the base color on the hull, will add the other colors next. Next I need to get the new air compressor and fine air brush set up for painting. Will probably set up a D cell battery box up to break the gears in (Lap them in ). Do that probably over the next few days. I don't have any of the electronics in yet or the battle system and still need to buy a radio and a charger for the 7.2 volt batteries. So I will jury rig a way to power up the motors and gears for lapping. Shotgun

Well I started this last Sunday with the hope of getting a lot done on the build. I got the bolts and nuts in or least enough to do the front hull armor bolt on. Then I decided to work on putting the fording exhaust on. Then the day took a dump. The exhaust if it was placed on the hull the way it came did not line up right. The engine crank cover was completely blocked. So I tried bending the exhaust while in place. Wrong!! I got the piping to start to move (finally broke the welds so it would move) and all seemed well as it looked like I might have the alignment right. I didn't see the crack started on the replacement resin plate and I made up some epoxy to set the pipes in position. Right then the the resin replace plate broke where the pipes when in. So I had epoxy and a broken plate and the fording exhaust flopping all over the place. What a CF, got the some of the mess cleaned upped. Reset the broken plate in place, the got the fording exhaust in the near the right position and epoxy the hell out of it so it won't break or move again. And called it day, I was pretty pissed off at myself and figured I wasn't in the right frame of mind to work. So here are a couple of photos of my great adventure. Shotgun

I haven't got a lot of work done lately on the build. I have been ripping up carpet laying tile so I can hopefully get a buyer for my house. So this last week and the coming week I may not have a lot images to post. I 'll post as work gets done. Shotgun

I was able to do a little work tonight. Built some brackets supports for the exhaust. Kinda hard to get everything positioned correctly with the exhaust not setting in the right way. This all I been able to get done with all the house remodeling going on. Will post more when I get more done. Shotgun
