Thank you, Pavel. I will bookmark that page, especially because it offers photos about other uniforms. I must admit that the top photo on the web page shows quite an unusual uniform, if that's what it is.

The white shirt is the dress uniform, usually it is grey.....
I have a friend who is a reenactor, both the Red Army and the Wehrmacht, it all depends on the number of participants in the game...

Yer durn right that photo is useful to me, Mike. Do your know if that book is still available anywhere? I sure would like to be able to create the patches and insignia on a decal sheet.

The uniforms for the various women's services seem initially to have been quite variable (as with the men's uniforms), but were apparently somewhat regularized late in the war. I noticed, e.g., that the uniform drawn in the photo shows the light yellow piping on the cap (smooth for "enlisted" women, braided for officers), but not on the collar, where I have drawings showing a bit on the collar, too.

The teeny tiny book is about 4"x5" and 50ish pages. It came in a pile of WWII reference books I bought at an auction for $5. I totalled up the jacket retail prices and it was just over $600! Books get no respect.
