Re: Help Request - Taigen Tiger 1 not binding
New battery made no difference. I'm using NiMH and a Mistral balanced charger. Not had battery problems using them in my HL Sherman. Symptoms now down to flashing front lights when the tank is turned on and the fan on the MFU turning. But now no sound from the speaker. After about about 5 seconds the fan stops, the front lights start flashing irregularly, and the speaker makes this muted tick, tick sound. Other than that, nada.
I'm thinking because the symptoms have worsened steadily since I started it's the MFU giving up.
Not sure where to go from here.

Re: Help Request - Taigen Tiger 1 not binding
I have had just the symptoms you describe, Bowlingball, and it has been the battery charge every time. Then, too, I have had batteries that indicate full charge, but are not so at all.
First I check to make sure the charger is set to the correct type of battery (i.e. NiMH, not NiCad or any other type).
Next I try re-charging the battery.
Third I try a new battery.
I wish I could provide more help, but this has been my solution for some time.

what's weird? is that works on Sherman and not on Tiger I? Hence my previous question on a possible mix of HL and Taigen radio, just trying to understand

A fully charged battery this morning, and hey ho, "Its alive!". Everything except the barrel elevation is working fine. Many thanks for the guidance.
Take it apart tomorrow, see what the issue is with the gun elevation.

I've documented the build, as I'm new to this. Would it be helpful if I posted it? I found it helpful seeing such a lot of helpful advice on the forum, a newbie build might be useful?

great, what was going on then? on the contrary, publish photos, allow you to see what equipment you use, and better advise you

OK. Ill do that shortly,
Happy to confirm gun elevation was fixed this morning. Due to a mis-assembly of the gears in the elevation gear box. Another example of the instruction's lack of clarity and another lesson learned.
