To be honest, that would be asking for trouble adding overhead power cables/wires to power up any type of effects in other buildings with RC tanks etc possibly crashing into the poles.
One only has to look at the damage some buildings pick up at club meets to see how this could be more of a pain that could need constant repairs.
A hidden cable/wires on the ground or batteries in the buildings would be better.
If you didn't want to use batteries. Make a box with lots of mono Jack plug sockets connected to a suitable power supply hidden in a central building, then run pond flex to each of the other buildings. The other buildings could also have a mono Jack plug socket installed, or have a suitably long enough cable hard wired in. Then it's only a case of setting up, plugging in and disguising the cables if you want to. Obviously one would have to fit mono Jack plugs to the lengths of cable.
I would advise using quarter inch Jack plugs and sockets, they are more robust and don't cost the earth.
